Early Humans
Paleolithic Era
There were many different types of people in the Paleolithic Era. For example, the hunter-gatherers also known as nomads. They were always moving from place to place to find things such as food, fish, insects, and a variation of berries and plants. To remain safer the nomads usually traveled in groups of around 30 people. Paleolithic people were extremely good at adapting. In order to survive, they had to make shelters. So they used animal skin that was held up by wooden poles. During this time the ice age which produced ice sheets that covered some of Europe, Asia, and North America.
Did you know that spoken language began in the paleolithic times?? If you didn't, thats okay because i didn't either lol. Before this development the people would crush different color rocks and use the powder as paint for cave paintings. These people also were the first to use technology and flint. They used things such as flint to make tools that helped them hunt. As time passed they learned how to use these tools to make common household items.
After the ice age ended it seems like the people calmed down a little bit. They learned how to domesticate animals so humans could use them and finally learned how to farm. Now that they knew how to farm, that limited the hunter-gatherers and allowed people to be able to stay in one place. Farming was actually believed to be the the most important event in human history! The increase in farming and settlement eventually evolved into people starting villages. Also now that all people were needed to farm, they started getting interested in doing other things which was called specialization. So as you can see, the paleolithic era was much needed in the development of human culture and without it who knows where we'd be today!
