How did Jews react to Roman rule? Around 63 BCE, the Romans took over Judah and did so through Jewish kings. Then, Augustus changed Judah into Judea. Now instead of having a king, they had someone called a Procurator to rule the new province. The jews began to argue among themselves about what to do with the Romans. Some liked working with them and others were opposed.

Were jewish rebels successful? The Jews were convinced to fight the Romans by people called Zealots. The purpose for this was an attempt to take their kingdom back over. They decided to go through with it around 66AD and were brutally crushed. The Romans proceeded to destroy their temple and killed tons of Jews.

What happened during the life of Jesus?
Jesus accomplished many things during his 33 years of living. He healed people, performed miracles, and changed lives for eternity. Around age 30-33, he traveled throughout Judah and Galilee teaching and preaching his ideas. He was especially known for a certain preaching called the Sermon on the Mount. Although he touched many people, his main goal was to dedicate himself in discipling 12 men. One of these men named Judas betrayed him right before he died for only 12 pieces of silver. Yet, Jesus loved him anyway. See that's what's incredible about Jesus, you could do anything and he will still love you more than anyone!
What did Jesus teach? The main thing that Jesus preached was that God was coming back to rule the whole earth. He wanted them to repent of their sins and most importantly, have a close relationship with him. The main way he taught was through parables, or short stories that expressed spiritual ideas. He also had a couple of main teachings. One being, "love the LORD your God with all your heart, should, mind, and strength."
Who were Peter and Paul? Peter and Paul were 2 of Jesus's main disciples. Before Peter was a disciple, he was a fisherman and his name was Simon. Then, Jesus told him to change his name.

What was the crucifixion? Jesus's preachings brought mixed feelings from many people. Some said that he was the long awaited Messiah, but others argued to say he was a deceiver. The Romans feared that the more people he impacted, the more powerful he would become. So, on the evening of the passover, he was arrested and charged for treason. The punishment for rebels or lower-class people was the hanging on a cross until dead. This was called being crucified and
What do Christians believe? The main belief of christians is that Jesus is the son of God and had come to save the all people. If you accept Jesus into your heart and have a relationship with him, when you die you will live for eternity with him in heaven. They also believe in the Trinity, which is the idea that God is the father, son, and Holy Spirit.
